Birmingham Detectives Need to Identify Suspect in a Car Burglary
June 23, 2020

According to a report filed with Birmingham PD a car burglary occurred in the 600 block of Idlewild Circle on June 12, 2020, at approximately 2:30 am. Detectives obtained surveillance video images of the pictured suspect they believe made entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole items from inside. The suspect is described as a white male with a beard wearing a light colored sweat suit, light colored ball cap, and dark sneakers. Bessemer Detectives Need Information Regarding the Murder of Michael Jones
June 11, 2020

The Bessemer Police Department is investigating the murder of Michael Veshaw Jones, reported missing from Mississippi.  According to detectives on May 22, 2020, approximately 3:31 pm, their officers located a truck belonging to Michael Jones.  A continued searched led officers to discover the victim's body inside an abandon house in the 1800 block of Fairfax Avenue. He had been shot. Jefferson County Detectives Need Information Regarding the Murder of Sean Avant

On February 10, 2020, the body of Sean Avant was located off a walking trail approaching Bay View Lake near the 200 block of Mulga Loop Road. He had been reported missing to Birmingham PD February 8, 2020. Subsequent examination of the body indicated Avant was the victim of a homicide. Detectives are requesting information from anyone that may know where the victim had been during the time he was reported missing, who was with him, and the circumstances leading to his death. Jefferson County Detectives Need to Identify Suspect in a Burglary
June 04, 2020

According to a report filed with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office a spray car wash in the 1100 block of Huffman Road was burglarized on May 24, 2020, between 4:00 am and 4:30 am. According to report approximately $500 in change was stolen and $1,200 in damages to a coin box was sustained. Detectives obtained surveillance video images of the pictured person and vehicle he was driving in the area during the time this crime occurred. The pictured person is described as a white male, 35-39 years of age, 5’9” to 6’ tall, wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. The vehicle is described as a blue Ford Ranger bearing a Jefferson County tag that is not registered to it. Jefferson County Detectives Need to Identify Suspects in a Car Burglary

According to a report filed with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office several vehicles were burglarized at a heating and cooling business in the 4400 block of Pinson Valley Parkway during the evening of May 25, 2020. Both are described as thinly built Hispanic males carrying backpacks. Tools and equipment were reportedly stolen. Jefferson County Detectives Need to Identify Suspect in a Spree of Car Burglaries

According to a report filed with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office an attempted car burglary occurred May 16, 2020, in the 1000 block of Broad Street in the Minor community. Detectives obtained surveillance video images of the pictured suspect in the area during the time this crime reportedly occurred. According to report the pictured person lifted a door handle to a vehicle parked in the area but was unsuccessful in entering it because it was locked. Detectives believe this suspect is possibly connected to other car burglaries reportedly occurring in the same area.
